City Council Adoption Hearing – General Plan 2040
March 4, 2024
At this initial adoption hearing, the City Council will receive a presentation of the General Plan 2040, the Final Environmental Impact Report, and Climate Action Plan Technical Update; collect and consider public input and the Planning Commission’s recommendations; and review these documents and provide direction to staff, as needed, to ensure that the General Plan is ready for adoption. However, the Council will not be taking action to adopt General Plan 2040 or certify Environmental Impact Report at this meeting.

Location: Hybrid Format (remotely via Zoom and in person at City Hall Council Chambers), 330 W. 20th Avenue
Complete Streets Plan Workshops
City staff will be hosting community workshops focused on the citywide Complete Streets Plan. These workshops will focus on the proposed priority corridors identified through the Plan and progress to date, as well as proposed multimodal improvements. The workshops will also cover the improvements in the specific district they’re hosted in, but residents are welcome to join any workshop they’re able to attend and share feedback for any location in the City.

Summer Camp & Swim Info Night

Clue On Stage - Hillsdale High School Drama

Join Hillsdale Drama cast and crew for a fun outing! Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

Electrify Your Home

Are you interested in electrifying your home but not interested in the legwork of developing your own home electrification plan? Switching to electric heating and cooking technologies creates safer homes and communities for generations to come, but the process can be complicated. The City of San Mateo, 350 Silicon Valley and Peninsula Clean Energy are partnering to host a community-led workshop that will share information on how to take advantage of new direct installation and concierge services to make home electrification easier than ever.

First Friday Nights at CuriOdyssey

Plus, you can reimagine the California Flag with other endangered wildlife on our coloring postcards, which you can send to your representatives to encourage them to protect our native species this month!
